Meredith Dobro, Pro Pet Sitter

Hello! I am an experienced pet owner who has been taking care of animals all my life. I think animals are drawn to me because they know I’m a caring, dependable and loving person. I grew up in Lakewood, Ohio and currently reside on the west side of Cleveland in North Olmsted. I really do love helping animals and their owners, so I started my own professional pet sitting business.

I have had pets since I was a toddler – cats, rabbits, birds and gerbils…even a toad and a snake at one time. I volunteered at several animal shelters such as the South Florida Wildlife Care Center from which I won an award in 2007, and rescued many dogs, cats, domestic and wild rabbits, domestic and wild birds and even several wandering turtles over the years.

I have also successfully re-homed many dogs, cats and rabbits where I saw evidence of abuse or neglect. This work is particularly rewarding because I know I made a difference in many lives.

I have 2 adopted, indoor-only cats named Holly and Tango. Previously I had 5 rescued house rabbits as pets, so I have a vast amount of knowledge on rabbit care, habits and medical needs as well as cats, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles and other exotics.

I love to spend time playing/cuddling your pets (if wanted) during visits and can do extra little things for you while there such as taking in mail, opening and closing curtains and watering plants. And, during visits, in addition to feeding, watering and cleaning up after your pet, I can administer your pet’s vitamins and medications from simple to serious…such as giving your kitty their pills and diabetic injections. I offer cat and rabbit grooming (cut nails, brush out the fur), dog “basic training” for learning leash walking, and teaching dog commands as an additional service.

In my other career as a script writer and video producer, I created many TV show segments marketing animal-related care products and gained knowledge by interviewing pet product inventors, veterinarians and other animal experts.

I am only taking West Side (Cleveland) jobs. I am Pet CPR/First Aid certified from the American Red Cross, Pet Emergency Education, and PetSit Pro. I am a member of Pet Sitters International and have earned their Certified Professional Pet Sitter status. I’m also insured and bonded for this business through Business Insurers of the Carolinas. ***Please contact me: Call My Cell by calling or texting me (fastest response) if you’d like to arrange a free meet and greet. I appreciate your positive, real testimonials and referrals too!
